Nice to hear from you Pepper. The rise of blogs and independent local news websites is absolutely another element of filling the void left by the collapse of traditional news media. The stories covered in websites like the Public Record, Raise the Hammer, The Pointer and, yes, the Burlington Gazette, are almost invariably more interesting and more detailed than the content in anything published by Metroland Media. I was addressing more the characteristics that audio recordings bring to the table which do not have a parallel even in radio.]]></description>
