There is no party like a victory party that actually happens after a victory. Especially if the previous one was in the 1940s.

But hardly any Canadians take an active role in local party politics beyond voting. Doing so leaves parties exposed to special interest groups, wealthy donors and the small number of unrepresentative people who come forward to pick leaders and choose party direction. Is it any wonder we don't feel they reflect our priorities?

In part two of our interview with Graham Crawford of iElectHamilton.ca we look at all Hamilton has to offer as one of the most naturally fortunate cities in Canada, and consider what a city might look like that escaped the rut of unambitious and parochial leadership.

Our guest this week is Graham Crawford, one of the leads of iElectHamilton.ca. iElectHamilton.ca has provoked a wave of positive support from many Hamiltonians, and a storm of angry reaction from some of the city’s political grandees. It has already been described as a leftist takeover by university elites, and criticized for being unfairly hostile to delicate incumbent councillors who just want everybody to be positive.

Listen to Graham and decide for yourself.
