The Burlington NDP riding association has announced it will be selecting Andrew Drummond as its candidate to face-off against PC incumbent Jane McKenna and Liberal Mariam Manaa at the 2022 election.
Drummond ran first in 2018 when the collapse of the Liberal vote across the province saw Drummond force then MPP Eleanor McMahon into third place, with Jane McKenna retaking the seat she lost in 2014.
Drummond’s selection for a second attempt at the seat was widely expected. He will be acclaimed at a nomination meeting to be held on Octobert 21st. The venue for the meeting has not yet been announced.
